Our mission

The Rippl-Rónai Institute of Arts and Theatre of Kaposvár Campus, Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, is a unique creative-intellectual workshop in the fields of art and art education in Hungary, encompassing the disciplines of object design and performing arts. The institute aims to make a contribution to increasing the creative-industrial potential of Hungary and the region and develop a nationally and also international competitive arts education portfolio.

Over the past decade, the education programmes of the institute have become well-known both within and beyond Hungary’s borders, and our lecturers are renowned and highly-acclaimed in the national and international art world.

The Rippl-Rónai Institute of Arts and Theatre defines itself as an institution which focuses on all its programmes with special attention and is capable of presenting and operating the philosophy required by the constantly changing economic and social environment and the need for continuous renewal for future creative professionals.

The Rippl-Rónai Institute of Arts and Theatre is competitive in its training and operational structure, and it is capable of preserving and transmitting Hungarian and European cultural values. The lecturers of the institution believe that high-quality education and professional training as well as the transfer of modern knowledge are the keys to development.

The mission of the Rippl-Rónai Institute of Arts and Theatre is to train knowledgeable artists and creative professionals with valuable skills for the national and international labour market, and to become an intellectual and creative centre which is an important and indispensable factor for the direct and the wider environment of the university.
