About us

The RIPPL Photography BA programme trains professionals who, with their knowledge of contemporary imaging methods acquired at our institute, will play a significant role in the social implementation of visual culture. Our programme emphasizes the applied art segment of photography and also provides our students with an inspirational support of their autonomous creative use of photography. During the programme we provide opportunities to integrate knowledge and experience gained in various areas and disciplines, which also involves opportunities to experiment with interdisciplinary areas of photography.
In our programme, we put a large emphasis on the history and recent history of photography, and for practical training, we operate a traditional chemistry-based photo lab alongside state-of-the-art digital infrastructure. Our professional programmes develop the openness, versatility and professional awareness of our students, ensured by the professional diversity of our lecturers and instructors. Our graduates can enter the labour market with professional confidence and are prepared to continue their studies in Hungary or abroad in Master programmes.

For applicants

We take photos every day. Yet, have you ever considered that taking photos is actually more than an everyday activity and that photos are capable of formulating complex messages and personal narratives in order to describe and understand processes in the world? If you are perceptive and open-minded, if you would like to play an efficient role in shaping visual culture by getting to know contemporary imaging methods, if you have something to say and would like to become a member of an inclusive intellectual-artistic community, this is the place for you.
